About me
Built in corporate. Designed for humans
I'm Felicity Scheltinga, BPsychSc. Mum of five. Proudly neurodivergent. And after years building a successful corporate career, I left to create something I wish had existed when I needed it most.
The Growth Canopy is a coaching and mentoring practice designed for people whose brains don't fit the standard blueprint, and for the people who love them.
My son has ADHD. And raising him has been the most beautiful, demanding, heartbreaking, transformative journey of my life.
I know the calls from school. I know the meltdowns that come out of nowhere and the battles around routines that make you question everything you thought you knew about parenting. I know the loneliness of being the only one who sees what's really going on. And I know the invisible load that nobody prepares you for, the weight of holding it all together while the world tells you to "just be consistent."
I also know what it looks like on the other side. When you finally understand your child's brain. When you stop fighting the design and start building around it. When you reclaim yourself, not instead of being a parent, but alongside it.
I'm neurodivergent myself. I've lived the masking, the overwhelm, the gap between what I know I'm capable of and what I can make happen on any given day. That's not something I read in a textbook. That's something I navigate, every day, with compassion and custom infrastructure.
Before building The Growth Canopy, I spent years in corporate leadership, managing teams, delivering results, and learning how to thrive inside systems that weren't designed for minds like mine. I was the one partnering with client teams across different organisations, holding their outcomes alongside my own. The perfectionist. The people-pleaser. The one who put everyone else first and called it work ethic. I built a successful career on those patterns, and I also know exactly where they lead: burnout, resentment, and a quiet erosion of self that happens so slowly you don't notice until you're empty.
That experience taught me that brilliance without structure eventually burns out. And that the right framework, built for your brain, changes everything.
Now I bring all of it together: academic training in psychological science, clinical NLP, lived neurodivergent experience, a corporate career that proved I could lead at the highest level, and the deep, personal understanding of what it means to parent, perform, and still fight for your own identity.
I'm here to walk beside you. Not just as a coach. As someone who truly gets it.

- That your mind doesn't need fixing. It needs custom infrastructure.
- That rest is not a reward. It's a prerequisite for clarity.
- That motivation fades, but well-designed frameworks create momentum that sustains itself.
- That you already have everything you need within you. My role is to create the conditions where you can finally access it.
My qualifications and approach
Bachelor of Psychological Sciences - a deep academic foundation in how the mind works: cognition, behaviour, neuroscience, and human development.
Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner - the study of how language shapes thought, behaviour, and experience. I use NLP to help you identify the unconscious patterns running your life, then restructure them at the source.
Certified Matrix Therapies Practitioner - working with the deeper emotional imprints that keep patterns locked in place, allowing rapid and lasting release.
ADHD Coaching Specialisation - affirming, practical, strengths-based coaching for neurodivergent minds. I help clients understand their ADHD brain, reduce shame, build self-trust, and create supports that actually work.
Hypnosis Practitioner - working with the subconscious mind to access deep-seated beliefs, release old patterns, and create lasting behavioural change at the level beneath conscious awareness.
Reiki Practitioner - a somatic modality that supports nervous system regulation and deep restoration. I integrate this as a complement to the cognitive and structural work we do together.
I use a structured 12-step coaching model designed specifically through an ADHD lens: built for how neurodivergent minds actually move through change, not how textbooks say they should. It takes you from where you are now to where you're ready to be. But within that structure, everything is personalised: the pace, the depth, the tools, the focus.
Every session is spacious. Every framework is yours to keep. And every conversation is held in complete confidence.
I operate under the ethical standards of the International Coach Federation (ICF).

How I work
My coaching methodology works across four integrated areas:
Pattern Recognition
Understanding your cycles, triggers, energy patterns, and strengths so you can anticipate rather than react. When you can see the pattern, you can design around it.
Identity Strengthening
Moving from "broken" and "not enough" to deep self-trust and self-knowledge. Using NLP to restructure the narrative at its source, not as a positive affirmation, but as a felt shift in how your unconscious codes your story.
Emotional Regulation & Release
Building your personal toolkit for overwhelm, rejection sensitivity, and the burnout cycle. And where old emotional imprints are driving the pattern, using Matrix Therapies to clear the charge so it simply... dissolves.
Executive Function Scaffolding
Custom systems for initiation, prioritisation, time-awareness, and completion that don't rely on willpower, memory, or motivation. External structures that make the invisible visible.
What makes this different
It's affirming, not fixing. We don't pathologise your brain. We honour it and build around it.
It's practical, not theoretical. Every session produces something you can use immediately. No homework that relies on the executive function you're trying to build.
It's strengths-based, not deficit-focused. Your hyperfocus, your creativity, your pattern recognition, your intensity: these aren't things to manage. They're things to design for.
It's repeatable, not dependent on me. The goal is a playbook you own. Self-trust, not coach-dependence.
It works beneath the surface. As an NLP and Matrix Therapies Practitioner, I work at the level most approaches never reach: the beliefs, emotional imprints, and identity stories that keep patterns locked in place. We don't just build systems. We clear what's been blocking them from working.
